Social Justice and human rights are fundamental components in IVI’s interventions as they promote equity, equality and dignity for all our beneficiaries particularly females below 23 years and males below 18 years of age. IVI through its social justice system emphasizes the need to address systematic inequalities and barriers that prevent young people from reaching their full potential. This includes challenging discriminatory practices, policies and attitudes that perpetuate social and economic exclusion.

Human rights, as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, provide a framework for promoting and protecting the inherent dignity and worth of every individual. IVI prioritizes human rights education, enabling young people to understand their rights and responsibilities, and to advocate for their own rights to education, healthcare, protection from discrimination, violence, and exploitation.

IVI prioritizes social justice and human rights by creating safe spaces for young people to express themselves, share their experiences, and develop leadership skills. We also engage in advocacy and awareness-raising activities to challenge harmful norms and practices, and to promote policy changes that benefit marginalized youth. By doing so, IVI helps build a more just and equitable society, where all young people can raise their voices, thrive to reach their full potential and impact their communities. Ultimately, IVI prioritizes social justice and human rights and seeks to empower young people to become active citizens, advocates, and leaders, who can drive positive change in their communities and beyond. By promoting social justice and human rights, IVI can help build more just, equitable, and peaceful world, where all young people can live with dignity and respect.

“Social justice is the foundation of a peaceful and prosperous society. It is the bedrock of a world where every individual can live with dignity, respect, and equality.” Desmond Tutu.
